We just picked this cool award up for our latest animated films @peterpantiesthemovie. It’s probably one of the coolest, weirdest award designs out there…and we love it! We’ve won eight awards so far in our festival run including our latest, FilmHause which has the coolest laurel, but this award design takes the cake.
Thanks much “A Night Of Misfits” film festival for the crunk award and having one of the coolest, zaniest festivals around, we’re having a lovefest with you!
Our podcast Screen Heat Miami was a splash at Bitcoin 2021, the biggest cyrpto event in history. Check out some of the interviews at ScreenHeatMiami.com. We continued our venture into the fourth wave with coverage of one of the most secure on the blockchain BSV with full coverage and interviews for our clients of the BSV Blockchain Conference. With a four camera set up and on the spot interviews with some of the top leaders in the space we were able to interview one of the top minds in crypto Jimmy Ngyuyen. Sponsored by Coin Geek.
Stay tuned for BIG news soon about our project The Beach Chronicles! For now here’s a three clip sampler from the animated short film version of our project. This one features voice over from the amazing actor Jimmy Jean Louis of TNT’s hit show CLAWS and one of our favorite actors Tommy Flanagan from WestWorld, Guardians of the Galaxy two and Sons of Anarchy in studio doing his thing!
We’re really excited as we head into production on our latest animated film Above Ground. It’s the second in our series about mental health, this one dealing with loss, the opioid crisis and rebirth. Drug deaths were up 30% in 2020 and we want to tackle the issue head on. Our first film in our mental health series has gone to 13 festivals and has won six awards so far (PeterPantiesTheMovie.com). We’re hoping this one touches even more people.
For this film we were able to bring on an animator from a mentorship program we have with ADA Animation in Kenya from the boot camp they have with animation students from across the country. We had hands on experience working with her there and are excited to have her on board for Above Ground. Look for more behind the scenes as we continue production with this very important film.
Here’s a conceptual still.
Kijik Multimedia had a strong presence during the annual Kenya Film Commission Conference. KijiK President Kevin Sharpley spoke on a panel about animation and KijiK Multimedia hosted a masterclass on animation utilizing our project The Beach Chronicles (TheBeachChronicles.com) as an animation case study. Unfortunately we weren’t able to go to Kenya this year due to Covid restrictions, but it was a pleasure to participate even virtually. Hopefully we’ll see you in Kenya by year end for their big film festival!
Super excited about the latest edition of @screenheatmiami we just dropped now with cartoon & animation legend Fred Seibert! What an interview @jlmartinez17 and I had with him.
Fred Seibert (Fred Films) credits & achievements have established him as a true legend in animation and a visionary in television branding (MTV, Nickelodeon). He has served as executive producer for such blockbusters as Pendelton Ward’s Adventure Time and Bravest Warriors (Cartoon Network and Cartoon Hangover), Butch Hartman’s The Fairly Oddparents (Nickelodeon), Kevin Kolde’s and Warren Ellis’ Castlevania (Netflix), and Natasha Allegri’s Bee & Puppycat (the most backed animated series in Kickstarter history). While President of Hanna-Barbera, Seibert oversaw the development of a string of hits from The Powerpuff Girls to Dexter’s Laboratory. He has also helped discover Craig McCracken, Genndy Tartakovsky, Pendelton Ward and Seth MacFarlane. And he was responsible for creating the @MTV logo! And so much more.
And of course industry buzz, trends, happenings and more. You don’t want to miss this one!

Last year I wasn’t able to have my Producing In Florida And Beyond masterclass at the @miamifilm Festival with the iconic writer/producer Gregory Allen Howard as the festival stopped due to the nationwide shutdown before the event, but I’m happy to announce that on Saturday, March 13th at 2:30 p.m. there will be and an extended Q&A! Gregory Allen Howard’s career has been remarkable being the first black writer to pen a film that grossed over $100 million in “Remember The Titans” starring Denzel Washington and his latest film in which he wrote and served as a producer “Harriet” the star of the film @CynthiaErivo was nominated for two Oscar’s.
Presented by CineVisun in conjunction with The Miami Film Festival the masterclass series is now in its tenth year. This is the second collaboration with my organization Cinevisun, The Miami Film Festival and Mr. Howard having connected once before the Producing In Florida And Beyond masterclass began. Having known Mr. Howard for over a decade I can tell you it’s something you won’t want to miss, whether you’re a writer, a producer, a director, actor or any facet of the industry or just a lover of film, you will get insider info, techniques and a wealth of knowledge of the biz!
